New COO and Program Manager Join Executive Management Team

Advanced IT Concepts, (AITC) Inc., a leader in Information Technology Systems Integration focused on the federal sector, announced the expansion of its management team with the addition of two senior members.  Humberto “Bert” Ravelo has been named Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Wells Barlow as Senior Program Manager.

1Ravelo joins AITC with more than 37 years of experience in the government and civilian sectors. He has diverse leadership skills, including extensive operations expertise, program management, and has worked as a design/systems engineer.

In addition, Ravelo has 15 years of experience in Army-specific mission support, with an emphasis in training and simulation; key business areas targeted for AITC’s business expansion. More recently, Ravelo served as deputy product manager of digitized training at PEO STRI. His extensive and successful track record will be leveraged across AITC.

“We are extremely excited about having Bert Ravelo join our team. His extensive program management and technical expertise will greatly enhance our ability to deliver superior solutions to our customers,” says Gabriel Ruiz, AITC President and CEO.

When asked about his new role with AITC, Ravelo says, “Retiring from my position with PEO STRI was a very hard decision to make and an emotional event. For almost fifteen years, it has been both an honor and a privilege to serve in an organization that supports the U.S. Army. I’m now looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life with a company that shares my values and commitment to supporting our warfighters.”

2Also joining the AITC leadership team is Wells Barlow, serving as senior program manager. Barlow brings nearly 30 years of communications, command and control, information technology and training systems experience. Additionally, he has more than ten years of industry experience as a senior executive and business development manager. Wells is a retired Army Colonel and former program manager at both, the LTC and COL levels, including serving as program manager for the PEO STRI Close Combat Tactical Trainer (PM CCTT).

“Wells is a seasoned leader who really understands our vision, mission, and customers. We look forward to leveraging his extensive leadership, program management and business development experience to continue improving our offerings and performance,” adds Ruiz.

As ATIC Senior Program Manager, Barlow will be responsible for ensuring AITC meets the cost, performance, and schedule requirements of current and future contracts, as well as the implementation of new or improved processes to achieve efficiencies company-wide.

“AITC has established a stellar reputation as both an 8(a) certified small business and as a premier provider of information technology products and services. I am excited to be part of a team that delivers great value to our customers and makes a difference in our community,” says Wells Barlow.
