AITC has an opening for a Systems Engineer II position in support of our Global mission but with primary duty station at our Winter Springs, FL. Headquarters.

Position Overview

The Systems Engineer II performs System Engineering activities such as developing and managing systems level requirements, originating design concepts, performing systems level installation, configuration, integration/test and assisting in systems validation.  Develops technical documentation such as design drawings, use cases, interface control, installation and configuration processes, operator and maintenance manuals. Interacts with the customer regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Travel as required both stateside and overseas.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Provide technical input for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of hardware and software components.
  • Develop Requirements Traceability Verification Method (RTVM) documentation.
  • Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Develop Operational Concept that describes the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment.
  • Identifies, analyzes and documents system design weaknesses.
  • Develop system/sub-system design documentation
  • Develop required Build of Materials (BOM)s
  • Assist with developing and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Review CDRL documentation, (such as Training Material, Operator and Maintenance Manuals), for accuracy.
  • Travel required (Up to 40%) to both Stateside and Overseas locations

Qualifications

  • 4 + years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems or Engineering discipline
  • Strong troubleshooting skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft Office products
  • Systems Engineering certifications preferred
  • Software programming preferred
  • Previous work history with any of the Training and Instrumentation systems under the PEO STRI umbrella is preferred
  • Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team 
  • Ability to thrive in multi-disciplinary environment 
  • Department of Defense Secret Clearance desired

Position Overview

 The Systems Engineer IV provides detailed analysis, reports, advice, and designs on all related new systems or system upgrades to existing system components. Provides expertise in requirements analysis, component selection, risk assessment, design, implementation, integration, test, post-delivery support. Prepare and review technical documentation; lead and participates in design reviews, teleconferences, meetings and discussions. Interact with vendors, contractors and customers. Travel as required both stateside and overseas.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks

  •  Leads requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, CONOP development, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements.
  • Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Effectively chooses the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  •  Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
  • Develop technical risk assessments.
  • Develop system/sub-system design documentation.
  • Develop required Build of Materials (BOM)s
  • Lead the implementation of the approved design.
  •  Hands-on experience working with systems, software, and hardware in developing and implementing test plans and procedures.
  • Fulfill Test Director or Test Lead position during Acceptance Testing.
  •  Review CDRL documentation, (such as Training Material, Operator and Maintenance Manuals), for accuracy.
  • Prepare project close-out documentation, lessons learned, risk close-out and final project information storage, strategic and tactical planning.
  •  Travel required (Up to 40%) to both State side and Overseas locations.

Qualifications / Skills

  • 8 + years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems or Engineering discipline
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio and other Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated experience working at all levels of the test and integration process, starting with SW or HW component testing and completing in system level verification and validation activities.
  •  Systems Engineering certifications preferred.
  • Software programming preferred.

Director, Engineer and Applied Technology

Position Overview

This is a senior-level executive position that will report to the CEO. The director manages relationships with clients, stakeholders and corporate board members.  Will oversee the engineering team and provides technical status of projects to the CEO / President.  The Director will analyze systems and delegate tasks to team members.  Provide detailed analysis, reports, advice, and designs on all related new systems or system upgrades to existing system components. Provides expertise in requirements analysis, component selection, risk assessment, design, implementation, integration, test, post-delivery support. Must be willing to travel to meet clients, attend conferences and support the CEO as needed for business development.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Lead and monitor the progress of engineering teams
  • Design department wide processes and procedures to optimize the use of resources and increase profit
  • Make and approve financial decisions as they relate to the Engineering Department.
  • Communicate the strategic vision to managers and ensure that work aligns with the company’s broader goals.
  • Oversee the execution of a project from initial brainstorming session to finished product
  • Manage teams, assigning roles and establishing work schedules, to include hiring
  • Train new team members and provide technical expertise to teams in crisis
  • Create and monitor budgets for the engineering group
  • Oversees and participates in requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements
  • Performs technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
  • Performs detailed technical analyses for a system, subsystem or system elements
  • Supports the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Researches, designs, and develops systems, in conjunction with software and hardware product development, applying principles and techniques of systems engineering, modeling and simulation and analysis
  • Provides engineering support for proposals
  • Participates in or leads Statement of Work (SOW) generation for subcontracts
  • Guides the successful completion of major programs and projects
  • Plans and executes significant project tasks for activities described above
  • Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses
  • Keeps abreast of technology trends
  • Contributes to the achievement of business objectives
  • Travel required (Up to 40%) to both State side and Overseas locations

Qualifications

  • 15 + years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years of Personnel management
  • Degree in an Information Systems or Engineering discipline
  • Experience mentoring and training junior and senior Systems Engineering in the tenants of Systems Engineering
  • Use and understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Experience with project leadership principles
  • Strong troubleshooting skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working at all levels of the test and integration process,
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
